Highlight on the detection of nanoparticles by nanopore

A study has been carried out at IEM in collaboration with the University of Deakin on the transport of nanoparticles coated with DNA in a single nanopore. Among other things, they made it possible to establish an interesting correlation between the charge of the nanoparticles and the current blockages induced by their translocation. These results make it possible to consider the use of nanopores to directly characterize the surface charge of a particle at the scale of the single object.

This work was carried out within the framework of the "NanoDiag" research project funded by the Languedoc-Roussillon Region and ERDF as well as a PHC-FASIC.
